We are so lucky to be able to capture such precious newborn baby portraits for our clients, and double blessed when we also get to capture their maternity images as well! We loved meeting Dishna and Las while taking their maternity memories, and again recently with their darling baby daughter Surali. It can be hard to schedule in your newborn baby photography in amongst maternal health, paediatrician appointments and family visits, however we always suggest these are the memories you will treasure forever so they are well worth the effort!
Newborn baby photography is best done between the ages of 7 and 14 days, though we have successfully taken sleepy and curly images of bubs upto four weeks old, so please do get in touch if your baby is already upwards of two weeks. The reason newborn photographers suggest the 7 to 14 day age range is because babies are still sleepy and curly, and they transition from pose to pose quite easily as long as they are warm and well fed. With all our baby sessions we send you a range of tips and tricks to help make bub nice and sleepy for the session.
Baby Surali was nice and sleepy for our session and we achieved a large range of images for Dishna and Las to choose from, we especially loved how many sleepy smiles she gave us! We chose blue and pink for her colours, these newborn outfits are supplied by the studio and are sourced from a range of international newborn specialist vendors. You are of course welcome to bring anything along you would like your baby photographed with, but rest assured you only need bring yourselves and extra feeds for bubs, everything else is supplied for your session!
